| Awesome Art |
Awesome Art is an opportunity for young people to have their art work exhibited
and recognised, through an exhibition and competition, which is held annually.
Young people form a Working Group and are involved in the organisation process,
and determine a theme for the program each year.
The theme for 2008 is: One Wish.

| Pacific Island Youth Leadership Project |
|
Kildonan is building on our history of working with Pacific Island young people
through recreation programs with recent funding being received to develop a Pacific Island youth leadership
program.
Young people will learn leadership skills through involvement in a recreation based youth
development program, joining a youth action group or participating in training program.
Young people will also be supported to also play a role in other committees and groups in their local areas.
|
| Youth Summits |
|
Youth Summits are an opportunity for young people to come together and explore,
discuss and problem solve issues that are relevant and important to young people
in their local area.
Kildonan UnitingCare is working in partnership with City of Whittlesea and City of Darebin
to support young people to plan and run youth summits in their municipalities.
|
| Youth and Community Project |
|
Whittlesea Community Futures (WCF) a partnership of a number of service agencies from across
the City of Whittlesea have worked together to develop a concept for a Youth and Community Project (YAC)
with a vision of being a place for young people to meet and make friends that also provides
accessible and acceptable services for young people and their families.
Kildonan UnitingCare is leading this youth participation initiative in the City of Whittlesea to
enable young people to contribute and feel connected to their community.
Partners from many local services are working together to empower and support young people to be
the key decision makers on a range of issues and activities that affect their lives.
