Violence involves making others feel fearful or unsafe.
Using violence does not always involve physical force. It often involves shouting and put downs.
It can also involve threats, emotional damage and imposing forced isolation.
Violence denies a person's right to choose how they live their life.
Kildonan's Men's Behaviour Change Program has zero tolerance for violence against women and children
and we trust in men's ability to change. We believe that violence and abuse is about power and control.
It is up to men to take responsibility for their actions.
The first step to change behaviour is to accept that there is a problem.
We can then assist men to stop their violence by becoming calmer and developing ways of resolving their
worries and frustrations without resorting to abuse.
Kildonan offers men the opportunity to take responsibility for their abuse and violence through family
violence counselling, anger management counselling and/or group work.
